Teach the elements of music with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education.

The Bachelor of Science in Music Education is a joint offering of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education.

The B.S. in Music Education program prepares students for careers as music teachers at the elementary and secondary levels in general, vocal and instrumental music.

The degree leads to K-12 Certification in Music from the New York State Education Department opening a variety of exciting employment opportunities to graduates such as public school, private school, and early childhood music teaching, as well as studio teaching and music therapy.
