Music

Your career in music begins with an education that hits all the right notes. Whether you’re interested in becoming a musician or in music education, our music program will provide you with the knowledge and technical skills to succeed on stage, in the studio or in the classroom on our Long Island campus close to the many cultural opportunities of New York City.

Our music program allows for small class sizes, and provides a foundation in music theory, aural skills, musicianship and music history. In addition to the knowledge you’ll gain in the classroom, you’ll also gain valuable experience through instrumental or vocal lessons and performance opportunities, including large and small ensembles—band, chorus, orchestra, chamber, guitar, jazz, opera and world music among others.
